Founded as a writing critique group, Cat In A Dumpster became a staple of the Portland writing community with reading to celebrate Mother's Day called "Mommie Dearest" (thank you, Joan Crawford) and Father's Day called "Who's Your Daddy."

Like all good things, the critique group ended, however the name lives on!
